Timepath is a timeline web tool that helps you build interesting stories customized for your interest. With the timeline maker, you can import any media type you like. The company was founded by Frido and Arjen in the Netherlands. I was happy to help them develop the tool further and improve the interface during 2021.
Together we created a user-friendly platform to help users build their stories effortlessly in only a few minutes. The following images are screenshots of the results of the design for the landing page and the timeline creator tool.
One of the biggest challenges was to make the timelines look very good for the users but also functional in the way it is built and used. For example, the vertical vs horizontal format of the timeline. One was difficult to show as a preview but still more convenient for scrolling down in a familiar way for the users, and the other one was a nice distribution of the content but rather difficult to intuitively use it.

For many months and after many design iterations with the interface of the timeline, we found a good balance between something attractive, intuitive, and functional. Most of all I enjoyed the teamwork!
